You can leave a legacy to the Soko Fund in your Will.
It is relatively simple to draft a Will or add an addendum to an existing Will, and by consulting a solicitor you can make
sure your estate or part of it is inherited by the beneficiaries of your choice. As the Soko Fund is a charity, your legacy
would not be subject to Inheritance Tax or Capital Gains Tax.
You can leave a fixed sum of money or a percentage of
the remainder of your estate after other bequests have been made, and you can attach special conditions to you bequest. It
is best to seek the advice of a solicitor, who will make sure any bequest to the Soko Fund is fully in accord with your intentions
and appropriate to your circumstances. Often solicitors will draw up a will for a very small fee, and sometimes none at all.
Unless you specify otherwise, your legacy to the Soko Fund will be added
to the Endowment, thereby ensuring that your gift is of lasting benefit.
