Welcome to THE
SOKO FUND a small Scottish-registered charity devoted exclusively (and uniquely) to securing
university education for women in Malawi – the third poorest country in the world.

Poverty means that aid to Malawi is focussed first and foremost on food, then health (AIDS
is rife) then basic school education. Understandably university education gets almost no attention. Experience has shown,
though, that it has immense benefits, especially for women -- individual women and their extended families can look to a far
brighter future, local universities can counter the ‘brain drain,’ and the whole country is able to capitalize
on indigenous female talent. That’s why THE SOKO FUND exists. Can you help?
